Hubris

Last night at dinner, I actually thought to myself, "In this day and age, why do you need to worry about Daylight Savings Time, when your cell phone and your computer take care of everything for you?"

The answer, it turns out, is "I do" in that my alarm clock doesn't give a good goddamn about my fancy automated lifestyle.

So I wake up on Sunday, sit down at the computer, look at the clock in disbelief. I check my alarm clock (still behind), double check against my cell phone and laptop.

Words can't express how cheated I felt. Except maybe the word "somewhat".

Haha! My alarm clock changes along with the atomic clock. However, my wall clock doesn't. :(

I don't know what to do with myself today.

I deplore the three or four days when my body refuses to understand the sun's apparently lack of consistency.
