The End is Nigh

Sutter and I discussed today's San Francisco power outage which temporarily affected 365 Main's datacenter. This caused downtime for the sites hosted there like Craigslist, Technorati, LiveJournal and Vox.

Did you know that your delicious links are now on your rss feed?

Yeah - I spliced 'em in using FeedBurner and had my feed redirect to that spliced feed.

Is it annoying?

I like it. I like it a lot, actually. It's an easy way to read them, it is pretty immediately updated, and I don't have to hover to get editorial commentary, so I'm a fan! It's a good idea, and it works very nicely within a feed reader.

I really like using delicious for blogging. It's such an easy way to whip out the links. Sometimes, I wish I had comments for them. I feel like I'm using delicious to do sort of "this is an interesting link"-style blogging, at least when I'm actually blogging.

Out of curiosity, could you integrate your twitter?

Yup - the Twitters could also show up. Basically, with FeedBurner you can splice together feeds of various sources. And since Twitter has a feed, it could be included as well.

I'm going to hold off on doing it however, because I have other plans for integrating my Twitters into my posts.
